The Royal Tank Museum in Amman, Jordan is a great place to visit if you are interested in the history of tanks and military vehicles. The museum is located in the city center, and is home to a vast collection of tanks and military vehicles from different eras and countries. It is also home to the impressive collection of tanks from the King of Jordan’s personal collection.
The Royal Tank Museum The museum showcases over 100 tanks, from vintage World War II models to modern tanks used by the Jordanian Armed Forces. Visitors can explore the history of armored warfare and see the impressive variety of tanks on display.
You can view the tanks up close, learn about the history of tanks and their development, and even climb inside some of the tanks to get a better feel for them. The kids love this!! The museum also offers guided tours and interactive activities to help you understand the history and technology behind the tanks. If you’re looking for an interesting and educational day out, then the Royal Tank Museum is a great choice!
You can expect to learn about Armouring Origins, The Arab Legion and their development as they later known as the Jordanian Armed Forces.
You will also see a variety of Halls dedicated to Jerusalem, Al Karameh, Arab Israeli Wars, King Abdullah II, Reconnaissance Vehicles, Tank Destroyers, Tanks in Battle, World War I, World War II, Jordan Design and Development Bureau and an International Hall.

Goliath Tracked Mine
A remote controlled German Engineered Mine used in World War II.
Its use was to disrupt intense military formations and Destruct buildings and bridges by carrying 60 kg of explosives.
Schwimmwagen
Actually translating to Swimming Car, this is something I wish was still around today! Off road and in water?! Double sweet. It was used by German ground forces during World War II. It was designed by Ferdinand Porche using the design concept of a Volkswagen Beetle.
And of course this guy because he is hilarious...
