When you arrive to the visitor center, you can show them your Jordan pass or get your ticket from the counter then you will need to take a bus to the actual site as you are not allowed to take your car there yourself. There will be a guide with you and everyone else on your bus that you will need to stay with during your visit. He will explain the history of the site to you. I would give about 2 hours to visit Bethany.
